Rating Articles

Q: Why is it important for you to rate articles?

A: Because it encourages quality content creation.

We strongly encourage you to rate every article or video you view. These ratings help the authors to gauge your level of interest. Please rate each article as accurately and honestly as possible.

If you become an approved Author, don't be discouraged or offended by low ratings. Every member is entitled to their opinion. Each User, or Author is allowed one rating vote per article. You are allowed to change that vote if you wish. However, your original rating vote will be replaced with the new one.

Flite Test is subjected to the same rating system as any other Author on the site. The Author "Influence" is primarily affected by the ratings their articles receive.

This website requires effort on our part... and yours. Please help us build a positive and FREE R/C community for all to enjoy. You can help by sharing your knowledge, rating articles, and referring your friends. Flite Test is dedicated to helping others and will never charge a fee for entertaining, educating or elevating the R/C community.

Thank you all for your support!

Guys... I have to say you guys hit it out of the park with the NEW website! Love it... it's a great idea to foster a feedback oriented community. Extremely well thought out and put together. This is just what the RC community has been looking for... GREAT content and information and entertainment... all in one spot.

I like this concept. Don't really see the need of another forum though. But the articles and ratings section is great.

Some feedback:

Shouldn't there be a different section for video's? Now some articles are no more than a video posting. Not much of an article then?

Also about the bad ratings. Maybe if someone gives a low rating he has to be encouraged to give textual feedback also. Otherwise the author has nothing to learn from.

So how do you submit an article rating? I can get the rating stars to highlight, but as soon as I move the cursor off the stars, the rating stars disappear. Where is the secret submit button?

I have the same issue...the stars will turn red when I hover and click but will not remain selected when I move off.

That's what has being bugging me with the last article I made. I thought I put a lot of effort and though into it, but still... people gave 1 or 2 stars which seems way too low, but it's just my opinion. I asked for some feedback and tried asking readers to give a suggestion or comment and so far only ONE person replied out of 10 who rated (with great tips BTW). If there was a way to see who rated the article (like in YouTube) channel maybe it would be easier to get back to those people and ask them why they rated so low? Just wondering..
