Air Hogs Helix X4

by FliteTest | December 11, 2013 | (18) Posted in Just Fun

Check out the Helix x4 Stunt here!

Air Hogs was gracious enough to send a handful of these Helix X4 Stunt quads, so we decided to run them into everything!

The transmitter doubles as the charging station for the quad.

Chad applies a custom paint job.

Each Helix X4 binds to its respective controller and we had no trouble having multiple quads in the air.

Thanks again to Air Hogs for letting us play with these fun quads, and to you for watching!

Chat it up in the forums!

For a more adult oriented quad, check out our Knuckle H-Quad episode!

For more on the Helix X4 itself, check out the Air Hogs official website!

Very entertaining! I bought a Nano QX by Blade because of all you said about it in your podcast. It ROCKS!!! only issue I have had so far is sometimes the motors don't want to start up and you have to flick them to get them spinning again. Overall though its well worth the money- I have crashed it several times so far and it still flies perfect! (I have the bnf version). Also could you review the Hubsan X4 or something like it like the traxxas one?

Love these quick hits for an episode. Question for you though - for my 13 y/o son, The Airhog or the NanoQX?

Honestly in my opinion it all comes down to his skill level. I have a small quad like the qx, they will take a beating but not like what the airhogs went through in this video. I have already had a motor go out from a hard crash, but the qx is pretty awesome. The Airhogs could probably help on getting his orientation down with out breaking anything. I am pretty impressed with the durability of these things.

I am thinking of getting one of these for my 7 year old son for Christmas. I bought an estes proto x originally, but I think this may be better suited for him.
