Baby Blender 2, resized, depron version

by pekote | December 26, 2013 | (5) Posted in Just Fun

Scratch build, Baby Blender 2, depron version, (only the tail was made with foamboard).
This version is a bit bigger than the original and it looses the "cartoon shape" but flies a bit better.
Enjoy the maiden flight video ->

Paint work is on going!

Cool, how did you make it bigger? do you have plans? Mine came out smaller than the FT original.

I used the provided plans from flitetest and I enlarged a little bit as per follows->

Wingspan: 800 mm
Fuse: +100mm to the tail, and +35 mm to the nose to keep the CG
Horizontal stab: +10mm to the trailing edge (not to the control surface!), 20-20mm to each side
Vertical stab: +5mm to Leading edge

Was thinking to up-scale the FT BB plan too. But not sure to what size and all I know is to print it in scale up Technic. But that will still retain the 'cartoon' look of the BB. I'm slightly not liking it. Do you scale it up by editing the plan in some sort of software assist like Adobe illustrator or by just using scale-up printing Technic?

Since you've scaled it up, may I ask what electronic setup do you use on it?
Thanks in advance.
