Today I am checking out the Fatsharks Transporter V3 RTF kit.

This is one heck of a entry leval fpv system from Fatsharks. At around $200 you get a great little system.

Not only put it on just about anything in minutes it works well and is made well.

You really get a lot for the money. Is it the best system for you well you need to watch the review to find out.

DVR footage had some encoding issues this the green blips but that is not what i saw.

Awesome! I've been looking at these ever since they came out! So soaked to see this review! Thanks for taking the time, and giving that recorded view so I'd know what to expect with this FPV setup! Thanks again, awesome review!

One of the big things that i was not able to do in this review but found out after doing a few weeks of flying with the system is video lag. You get used to it but its off by a 1/4 to have second. So you learn to account for this flying with it.

Great review, I wish I had started with this setup.

Thanks for the review. This is a very interesting system for FPV beginners. However, it didn't look like you took any trough-goggle video (maybe I didn't understand). I would have liked to see a sample of the actual goggle display.

Very to record shooting into a pair of goggles but down link video is lower resolution as well so that should give you an idea of what it is like.

Would have loved if you would have gotten some footage and done a review of the actual included whip antennas before you swapped them out. After all, you talk about what an inexpensive system it is at $200, but then you don't review it as such. Instead you replaced some of the included parts right away with over $50 in replacement parts. Just isn't the same system that others will be getting right out of the box, at least not for the $200 price point you talk about.

I have not had a good luck with stock whips so I flew what I recommend doing with this system and really any system you get with whips. Change them out if you want the best possible video you can get. If you can't see well you can't fly well. And at a $50 upgrade yes it's more money but when you crash because you can't see $50 won't be that much then. Thanks for your feedback.

Good video help. I will be getting this set to start with. I wish you had got to the head tracking part like you said you would do. :)

I found out there is a mod for it but did not have time to get into that. I will be testing the new HD headset soon as well so stay tuned.

I give a huge plus to all the components in the system. And definitely agree with replacing the single pole whip with something like the Immersion clovers.

But one problem I had was with the Fat Shark video transmitter. The large brown inductor up near the antenna socket was getting insanely hot. Easily melting the clear shrink within the first few seconds of use.

I bent a flat 'C' shaped piece of aluminum plate, and with some heat sink paste between the plate and the inductor, locked it down with some JB Weld and have been good to go since.

not keen on un-boxing videos. Want to get to the meat. If you're also going to detail how to put it together and use it, you don't need the un-boxing because you'll be talking about the components as you use them. We can all assume that you got them in the box unless and until you tell us, "Hey, this didn't come in the box." That way we don't have to start skipping through the video to find where you're actually doing something interesting. First law of video is don't be boring.

Thanks for that keen observation. I decided to unbox it and then do a review as some people like the extra time taken to look at each part. This is don't do in my reviews rather get into testing right away. Its very new and there is not much on this system so I think by all accounts it was worth doing. The best part is you can always fast forward. Thanks for watching.

I wish I could get some of these. They look really cool but I don't have the money. I have saved about a hundred for them but being 14 it's hard to make money when you can't get a job yet.

I know what you mean IcyBird, I am 14 as well and i find it hard to make money.... its even harder in New Zealand Though. the postage is higher because we are so far away and the stuff you can get in the shops here are even more expensive because of the fact...... im hoping to get some money for christmas for it though :D

Hey, first of all, thanks for the informative video.
I was wondering, if I got a big cloverleaf antenna, would that make the distance and video quality better? (I plan on using it on on a quad copter)
My final question is... Is it easy to upgrade the components of this system in the future when I would be experienced?
Thanks,
Rourke

Glad you enjoyed it. I was flying the blue beam set for the video and yes that does help a lot when flying on 5.8. Is the fatsharks system upgradable yes and no. Yes you can up grade the camera and yes you can upgrade the goggles but you kind of need to do both to get the best picture.
