Hi, nice montage. Now on the downside... Have a look at how 'others' handle their intro trailer. Especially, look at how Flite Test has evolved. You'll spot that the early FT trailers were pretty long, but the new ones are quite short. (Also true of MESARCFF) Here's how it goes now... A quick quirky/fun/fascinating-moment shot to grab viewer interest, then a quick 'branding' sequence, and then straight into the content. With videos that are only 3-4 minutes long its a bit of an 'ask' for the viewer to sit through a 45 second intro (20-25% of the total viewing time, and their could also be a long closing credits sequence) to watch a relatively short 'new content' section. I think it's a mistake a lot of new 'videoteers' make when they start putting video together. It's easy to get caught up in the branding message to the detriment of content. Just because something can be done doesn't mean it should be done. Remember with a loyal following like the Flite Test regulars (as opposed to the anonymous TV viewer you try and 'catch' through product advertising) there's no need to 'sell' yourself as much. In fact I think repeating long 'old' sequences becomes boring for the viewer and actually puts them off - they want to get to the new content. With some videos I actually 'skip' the long intro to get to the content. On the plus side you're mastering a whole pile of transferrable skills, including front of camera, filming, sound management, etc, etc. Keep up the good work, but don't lose sight of what the 'customer' wants. Cheers.
