How to replace DT750 DT700 DT850 bearings

by tecdux | January 28, 2013 | (8) Posted in Tips

I've done a video showing me disassembling the DT750, changing bearings and then reassembling it:

I was getting lots of vibrations from my Hextronik DT750 even after balancing it and using balanced props. I replaced the bearings and now the motors are like new!

The steps for DT700 and DT850 are similar

I had some bearings with this problem too, I used a screwdriver to take them out ;)

Would you consider using another bearing from the start? Like a high end japanese bearing?

It seems these motors are plagued by that issue.

It was recommended on another thread about this issue to find some Boca Bearings and give them a try. I plan to oil my original bearings by soaking them overnight . If those don't perform, I found some Boca Bearings at my local hobby store for $1.50 each.
