"No Spark"

Here is a easy way to connect your higher amperage battery to the ESC without having a "Spark and Arch" which could possibly destroy the ESC. The harness is a modified MPI Arming plug with a micro switch and a resistor added to it. Connect the battery and then turn on the switch, this arms the ESC. Then plug in the safety plug and turn the switch off. "No Spark... No Arch"  Works good and it does not damage your ESC. I have been running one in a P51 with no issues.

A friend of mine has a great website that does calculations, etc. for R/C cars. one of his pages shows this method in greater detail. Worth a look at if you plan on doing this. http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/nospark.html
Also, there is a warning for Castle Creations speed controllers, stating that this could cause damage. I wouldn't know if it applies to their air controllers though...
