Quadcopter build - Final touches

by eluminerRC | July 22, 2013 | (10) Posted in Projects

Finally, this is the last video in this quadcopter build series. This was a big long project for me, but it's done now. I hope this will be helpful to you guys. Now that I'm done building this I will continue with some more interesting and sometimes advanced stuff, so stay tuned.

Tips:

1. Up side of the propeller is one with lettering on it.
2. 8045 - first two numbers are propeller diameter in inches (8" in this case) and second two propeller pitch also measured in inches (4.5").
3. If there is and "R" behind the number (such as 8045R) that means that this is reversed rotation propeller. You need 2x normal and 2x reversed rotation propellers for a quad. Normal are intended for spinning in counter clockwise direction so you have to put them on motors 2. and 4. Reversed propellers must be spinning in clockwise direction so you have to put them on motors 1. and 3.

YOU MUST BALANCE YOU PROPELLERS BEFORE USING THEM!

You need:

Propellers (for a quad you need 2x CW and 2x CCW):

8045 SF Propellers and 8045R SF Propellers

Bearing Oil

Battery strap

Ball and carbon rods from SK450 kit

Enjoy RC as much as I do! :)

You put a lot of effort into making these videos! Very good job, and I hope you make more like this. Also will you show us a video of your quad flying?

Thanks! Yes, you will see a quad flying, but not maiden. I'll do a how to video on KK2.0 tuning. However, a have a couple of videos before that so this won't be that soon. I'm making them as fast as I possibly can.

I really love the FliteTest videos, and I have learned so very much. However, I have to say that eluminerRC has produced a series of videos on the FliteTest website (and probably YouTube) that have made my quadrocopter fly like an absolute dream. Well worth watching, and I hope he will keep the videos coming. I do like his video presentation style, with clear graphics, and good clear instructions. The lack of soundtrack is probably because he is from Croatia (I asked), and maybe English is not a strong point. Anyway, excellent videos, what are you going to do for us next eluminerRC?
Many thanks,
Trevor.

I'll see about 9XR setup. I have a lot in plan before that. You will see the quad flying, but not maiden.
