Does that mean the center prop is the front instead?

I like your imaginative yaw mechanism. As far as your settings, did you just reverse your pitch and yaw controls?

Thank You and no this was a dedicated reversal, so I fitted the board facing to the rear thus making it the front, However just reversing the axis's does the same trick.

So you're basically flying backwards forward . . . ingenious!

And yes, very cool yaw mechanism.

Looks cool.

How does it yaw? Does the front fitting slide over the pipe?

RCMAD on May 20, 2013
There is a smaller pipe fitting on the inside and the cup swivels around that. Will post a picture.

Ask Away dboy ... Hobbyking KK2.0 Multi-rotor LCD Flight Control Board is the board Im using as it is easy to set up and don't have to carry laptop around to do adjustments at the field ... good value for money.

Yes, the rear becomes the front, that is it. Best luck with your build, please post some pics.

So, all I have to do is face the board backwards? I just don't see it. I plan on doing this and have a KK board, so it that's all is required, great!

What is the current status of this project?
Is it still going, still being flown?
I had this idea for some time, you beat me to it!

I think something has possibly been overlooked though...
The normal flight of a Y copter is essentially swerving the rear of the craft, to compare it to a car, you would be drifting and swerving to steer.
Whereas with this configuration, you are DRIVING, using that center motor/prop to forward steer.

I would think that would completely change the way you fly/drive it, likely for the better.
This seems like a better way to fly.

Would love updates on anything to do with this!
