The Spidex micro put through it's paces by the skilled hands of Abormor

When jlcortex ,(jlcortex @aeromodelismovirtual.com)one of the best designers of multicopters on earth, offered to ship me one of his new designs to try,I jumped at the chance!

This Spidex micro quad is a little guy! Only 215mm motor to motor and 70mm tall!

This simple and durable frame is CNC machined from a single billet of POM-C.
Designed specialy for the Mobius HD camera it can fit a second analog FPV camera to avoid latency of digital cameras.

My build started by snipping this frame out with some nippers and sanding marks down in a spot or two.

Ok so, 10-15 minutes later you end up with this.

Ok here is the cool part...
You fit it together with the locking tabs and using no tools you have this!

That is it. Frame is built.

Pretty cool if you ask me!

A place for all yo stuff!

Did I mention it's tiny?

This simple and durable frame is CNC machined from a single billet of POM-C.

The base of the frame in mine is upside-down to fit the rcx motors.( Thanks abormor!)The frame is designed for the Multistar 1704 from HK.

Ok time to get going! Woot!

ZMR 1804 2400kv motors

RCX 10A ESC Brushless Motor Speed Controller (G Series / Programed for Multicopter - SimonK Firmware)

MWC MultiWii SE v2.0 Flight Controller (w/ Bluetooth Module Adapter)

Here are the battery bay dimensions.

Camera tab hight...

It is snowing out so I am off to build this baby up!

Stay tuned in for part two! =P

I can not wait to get this quad in the air! I hear that they are very hard to break. =) That makes it great for a fella such as myself. Last time I looked Case, they were going for € 40.00
That is around $50. If it is as tough as has been reported then that is a heck of a bargin! http://quaternium.es/en/frames/71-spidex-micro.html#sthash.N1YTSBVE.dpuf

This is a pretty exciting little airframe. I'm glad to see you using an alternative flight control, I didn't find anywhere to get the Naze32 it calls for.
