Swappables Tip

by EZ Air | December 13, 2014 | (8) Posted in Tips

If you fly off of a gravel or paved runway with the tail dragging swappables like I do in this case my FT Old Fogey you may run into some wearing on the rear rudder, so here's a tip on what you can do to stop the wearing

so what i did was i took a piece of plastic from a yougurt lid and cut a strip out and glued it on

after that you will have a very smooth surface that won't wear as quickly as the regular foam core

That's the meanest looking Old Fogey I've ever seen. Good job!

Seriously, it looks like you have flown the heck out of the old fogey. The fact that you are worried about wearing out the rudder means you are a better pilot than I am. Good job especially at 16. I also love that you are using things around your house for solutions. When I am at the hardware or grocery store all I can see is airplane parts. I also find myself buying odd things just to try the product or packaging for airplane parts.

I like it. There is always more than one way to skin a cat. Josh Bixler uses skewers. I use flag wire. This is a fresh approach to solve the same problem. Whatever works for you..
