In this episode of Flite Test, Josh, Josh, and chad talk about our new website! Watch as Chad explains some of the new functionality of the website, and some of the new key features that let you become the star! Create an account and get started now!

Thank you for visiting our new Flite Test website!

The Flite Test Mission Statement:
Flite Test was created for people passionate about flight. Our hope is to create a show for the people that build and fly planes and helicopters as a hobby. They are the dreamers and engineers that get a thrill from the first launch of a maiden flight. The show will personify the veteran and the beginner alike giving them a chance to share common experiences with others, in turn, enhancing the RC community. The goal is to develop a creative outlet that allows us to work in our passion daily. Flite Test is designed to empower our audience. It has just enough humor, technology and information to appeal to the RC flight crowd as a whole. We hope to entertain, educate and elevate our viewers as we move forward with quality content.

The Vision:
It is our hope to build up and empower the RC community with quality people and content. Many websites try to build communities with the total focus on the content. Flite Test would like to empower the people that care about building great content while giving them the opportunity to build their own status and "Influence". Flite Test members will have the ability to become Authors. This means that you will be able to create and publish your own content on our website. When you post Articles, other members can vote on the quality and usefulness of the content. The higher the ratings, the more credibility you will earn. The more credibility you earn, the more notoriety you will gain!

The purpose of all of this is to concentrate a high volume of useful information that is easy to find in one location. We are working our butts off to create two "Video Articles" a week. And we get tons of e-mails asking for more... MORE! We just can't keep up with it.

Using the site:

This is a new experience for us. We don't have much experience when it comes to developing websites. Please be patient as we continue to make improvements each week. Get comfortable... make yourself at home!

There are only a few rules...

1. Be respectful.

2. Help others learn as much as they can.

3. Learn as much as you can.

4. Have fun!

We have been working very hard to make this website a reality. It is our intent to always provide resources and information free of charge.

Please spend a little time to look through the articles and rate them. This is how we prioritize the content.

Once you become approved as an "Author" your article ratings and website activity contribute to your "Influence" rating.

We really appreciate your involvement in making this site the best it can be!

Sincerely,

Chad Kapper and the Flite Test Team

A very special thanks to www.themadfish.com for their amazing work on the site!

I'm a web developer and I'm impressed so take that for whatever it's worth. I do have some SEO tips for you such as unique meta descriptions/keywords per page (almost more important that they're unique then what they say), moving your actual html content higher up in the source by putting your javascript in js files, moving your viewstate to the bottom of the page, etc. I'd love to help out (for free of course) so drop me a line if you need another shoulder to drop some of the dev work on.
