Can not tell you how much we love to fly here!

Just s.w. of Los Alamos. 20 min n.e. of Jemez Springs. It is a huge(dormant) volcano caldera.8 mi long and 10 mi wide!(give or take)The dome we flew to (Cerro La Jara ) is a "bubble"

AXN modified to carry a Gopro.
With a stock motor and a 30 amp esc.6*5.5 prop. We are flying a 9X radio with the frsky diy mod.
Video RX: Boscam RC305 5.8GHz with Helical Antenna
Video TX: Boscam 200mw 5.8 GHz with Cloverleaf Antenna
3 lobe cloverleaf on the bird and a 7 turn helical on the ground

Why fly?  Simple.  I'm not happy unless there's some room between me and the ground.  ~Richard Bach

Great place, all the country in northern NM and southern Co up to Silverton is post card quality. are you at the end of your range at 2.2km? i would think not, its only about 6km from where you were to main center doom. sounds like a worthy challenge. excellent vid man.
