Auto-Leveling Flight Test on a Plane - Light Winds

The is a sequel to my last article/video where I flight test an inexpensive auto-leveling and stabilization in a Bixler plane.  In the last video, I flight tested in high winds and in this video I test in light winds.  I strap the GoPro camera to my Bixler plane and we do a flight review of the product used, a HobbyKing KK2.0 Multi-rotor LCD Flight Control Board.  The free OpenAero2 firmware makes this board, which traditionally works with multi-copters, work on an RC plane.  Normally, these boards cost over $100, but this board is currently around $30 and has several other uses.  If you are interested in setting up the board in your plane, take a look at this setup article.

Video Outline:

  • Intro: 0:00
  • Flight 1- Stability OFF & Auto-Level OFF: 0:34
  • Flight 2- Stability ON & Auto-Level OFF: 2:32
  • Flight 3- Stability ON & Auto-Level ON: 7:26
  • Final Thoughts:  12:58

I'M LOVING THIS BOARD.  IT'S MAKING AERIAL VIDEO VERY SMOOTH.

Great video. Seems stable not bad for a $30.00 board.
