Bixler over frozen lake

It was cold (-12) clear calm morning so I had to take my planes out to our local patch of ice, Lakelse Lake, British Columbia, Canada.

I had three planes, but the only one that was reliable that day was the Bixler, its got a 30 amp HobbyKing ESC an Orange 7 channel receiver with no satelite antena and whatever motor and servo's HobbyKing supplies with the Bixler. The Radio was my stock Turnigy 9XR with the Orange DSM2 module. It all works fine, in these cold temperatures. The HobbyKing Wing Cam is what's supplying the video as my JVC Picsio kept shutting down after 15 or 20 seconds of recording. The Picsio is about the same weight as a LiPo pack at 147g and normally produces really sharp video but not today, probably too cold I guess. The Fat Shark FPV setup didn't work either, so all I can show is the WingCam video.

The as you can see there were three guys Ice fishing and myself, no distractions.

The Flying was good I enjoyed it.
