FabLab P-51

Hi, my name is David from north Spain, and it's my first article here.

I wanted to share with you a project I started at the FabLAB Asturias. A Fablab is a small-scale workshop offering (personal) digital fabrication. We have lasercutters, 3D printers and CNC milling machines for research projects and public use.

So I made this P-51 using foam-core board cutted in the lasercutter, and using some 3D printed parts as the motor mount or the control horns. You can see all the documentation of the project, including downloads here:

 The video is the maiden flight of the first prototype, and as you'll see, the plane flew very nice, but the landing was not as nice as the (short) flight :-)

Close!, it's at the outside of the LABoral centro de arte, just in front of the Parque científico ;-)
