How to be successful in FPV part: 6 - The Advance Systems

by StoneBlueAirlines | November 12, 2012 | (11) Posted in Tips

This is part: 6 in our FPV Tutorial Video series. The Advance Systems.
Check out this latest video to find out what you need to know to get started flying FPV.
In this tutorial we talk about OSD, GPS, auto-trackers, diversity, & long range systems.
You don't have to have these things to fly fpv but they can make your flying experience better or sometimes more difficult depending on how you look at it.

Me personally I love my OSD for these reasons. The world does look veru different when up in the air and long range flights are hard to do without an OSD and GPS. Sure with the right landmarks you could find your way home but with gps you just follow the yellow brick road home instead. Along with my heading I can also see my air speed, altitude , distance and current battery voltage. This is about all I run on my plane. Its light simple and gives me the info I need to fly with confidence.

We hope this helps you when building your first FPV plane or quad
