Let's get to it.

The maintenance of a helicopter, is something you need to do every now and then. I do it after 40 flight, after a crash or once a year. whatever comes first.

If you have other items you check plz let me know so I can update my checklist

Also I keep a log of parts i change, so I can have the most common ones in stock.

Checklist of a pro type helicopter:

  • Is the tail boom bent
  • Is the stabilizer fins cracked
  • Is the any of the gears striped
  • Is the torque tube bent or cracked
  • is the pushrod bent
  • is the tail shaft bent ?
  • is the tail blade holders cracked
  • Is any bearings damaged

When I have it apart I always clean and relube all the bearings.
