FB Elyptic a plane with graceful lines

As a DIY spring project the FB Elyptic might be the right joice.

I designed it based on the overall dimentions of the FT Simple Storch and got a very nice flyer.

As the fuselage is somewhat wider, I modified the wing to be a 3 piece.

My technique of joining the elevator halves is by a simple barbeque skewer.

The fuselage parts are joined using the workbench.

The undercarriage is mounted to internal barbeque skewers.

This finish is made using household vinyl.

You can watch me having springbreak fun.

My CG is 65 mm back from the leading edge. If you like it more docile, I suggest moving it closer to 50 mm.

Have fun

That's a good looking plane! I love the way the storch flies, but it sure is ugly.
