Fatshark Dominator HDO - Announcement

by FliteTest | April 23, 2018 | (3) Posted in News

With the release of Fatshark's latest product, a new era for FPV has dawned: today, the RC vision system company revealed their long-awaited Dominator HDO goggles. There's a ton of exciting new features to delve into, so let's get started.

What's new?

Vision

The Fatshark Dominator HDO's are the first Fatshark goggles to feature a revolutionary new display. Unlike previous generations of the Dominators, the HDO's use high definition OLED screens. But what does this mean? Well, the OLED displays provide far better color and higher contrast than traditional LCD screens. This enables pilots to see far more detail in their picture. The result is a crisp, clean and finely defined video experience.

Power

To allow you to operate more receiver modules out of one bay, the HDO uses an upgraded power supply system. To enhance your system, you can separately purchase extra modules and antennas

Interface

The user interface on this set of Dominators has been upgraded for you to run multiple video feeds. This is done by having the HDO automatically turn off the built-in receiver. This makes things way simpler. Also, when you want to replay some of your recorded DVR footage, the goggles self-switch to the correct menu.

Who's the product for?

As a flagship product, the new HDO's come in at $499.99 which is a similar price to previous iterations of the Dominator line of video headsets. Here's the thing, if you're serious about quad racing or, equally, are just getting started with airplane FPV but want to invest for the future, these premium goggles are a superb choice.

Compared with what you'll have experienced before, your FPV adventures with the new Dominator HDO's will be a leap ahead in terms of quality and overall enjoyment.

The Fatshark Dominator HDO's are now available for pre-order on the Flite Test store. Head over that way next, if you'd like, to learn some more about the product and compare them with other goggles on the site. They are expected to come into stock on April 30th, so keep your eye out for that!
