FT mighty mini Cozy Coupe

I bought this mini cozy coupe that I saw in the store for 5€. I immediately thought I also gonna make a plane of it.

But the episode of flite test wasn’t even out yet, I only had seen their idea, I think, in a vlog a couple months ago.

Since their video came online I decided to start building it.

build

I used the wing of the ft tiny trainer. I also 3d printed a part that I’ve put on the wing spar so I can put bolts in it. those bolts come out of the wing so I can attach my aluminium construction in my wing.

with my bolts sticking out I can’t use my table as my friend to glue my wing. To solve this I used 2 wooden boards that I screwed on a piece of wood with some space between them.

Normally you can put some crayons on the car so I used that to attach my car on to my aluminium frame. For that I also 3d printed a part so I don’t need to drill holes in my car.

Testing the plane

When I was building the plane I never thought it would fly because it was so heavy. I thought it was going to be something like launching it and then it would crash straight into the ground. The only way to find out if it would actually fly was to test it. So we did. And it flies, beyond my expectations, pretty decent! I was very enthusiastic that it flew and it was a funny view to see the cozy coupe in the air.

After the fourth flight it crashed :(. The 3D printed parts in my wing broke, so it was a bad idea. I need a better solution for this. Recommendations are always welcome.
