Hexacopter FPV Car Chase

Have wanted to try this for a while... Now that i know it works, i will definitley be getting more adventurous with what i can do with this. In the meantime, enjoy me chasing my friend's SUV through some backroads of Prescott, Arizona!

Aircraft- Custom built y6 Hexacopter

Flight Controller- DJI Naza Lite+ gps

Radio link- Spektrum Dx6i

FPV- Fatshark predator goggles and Immersion 600mw

Nice, I've been contemplating the same thing. Did you have any video signal loss??

nope it was solid signal the whole time. Circular polarized antennas

Cool footage. How did you work out the spotter on this? Been having a hell of a time working out the line of site spotter and two vehicles at any kind of speed.

also, you could have two people driving in a car behind the lead chase car. One to drive and one to spot

spotter wassss..... looking in the rearview mirror(;

just dont do this on busy roads or around people and you should be fine

I tried this line of sight with my FT Adventurer-type plane while my friend and I were sitting in the back of my dad's ute. We did it on a really quiet road farm road to make sure it was safe. I crashed like three times! I even crashed into a tree! It was a lot of fun though and the repairs were very minor :)
