Hobby King Sky Eye FPV Glider Builders Review

by RCTV-UK (Formerly Silly Fokker RC) | August 9, 2013 | (0) Posted in Reviews

In this video Silly Fokker Alan runs us through the very simple build of the Hobby King Sky Eye FPV Glider. Although the plane is very nicely constructed they did run in to a couple of problems. The guys run you though those in this video. Apart from some small issues they are still quite impressed with the kit.

Usually with most planes, there is 2 screws to each control horn but nice video. I have one of these planes on the way to Australia and cant wait.

Oh ok so maybe they did not mess up. I would have like enough screws for all the holes though. I would like this kit available as airframe only too so I could put better kit in it. The servos have already been swapped out! =) I have a feeling you're gonna love it!

I bought this plane to do flight filming but may get a FPV set up soon. I usually used the AXN floater jet for my videos and i use a I-pod Nano 5th gen which is a pretty good camera.

The different colored lead for the servo is because it is a reversed servo, not Futaba v JR. Many Hobby King models have this coloring for reversed servos which are needed for correct working of flaps.

So its not a repaired kit, it is as new.

Ah I see thank you for clearing up the confusion. I still wonder why it was delivered from the repair & replacement centre though? When you are paying good money for a kit that's "new" you don't wanna see that!
Having said that though the kit is pretty awesome! I am just gonna swap out that weak elevator servo before it get a chance to spoil my day ;)
