Hey guys! I made some floats for my HZ Mini Super Cub recently so i thought i should tell you guys how i made them. I can just tell you how to make the float itself because all planes are different so mounting them the way i did may not work on other planes. But anyways here how i made them.
What I used to build them.
1/4 inch Foam house insulator
Tacky Glue
Knife
Yep thats it.
How i built them.
I first just got a flat piece of foam then cut it to the shape i needed.
I then fine tuned it by smoothing out all of the edges.
Then i made a smaller triangle and i glued it in the middle of the float.
I also glued on 2 foam struts to hold the 2 floats together.
Thats really about it. Sorry but i have to let you guys figure out to mount them yourself. i would tell you how but as i said all planes are different.
