To the Flite Test Community,

Innovation Center of St Vrain Valley Schools student designer Jonah has been working hard on a solid 3D printed frame design to accommodate the higher-end Gremlin power pack.  He also wanted the frame to be a little bigger then the average frame to help with installing all the components comfortably.  The frame that he designed came out great and met all of his created design specifications.  He even released the plans for all to download if they choose to use the frame;

A cool design element that he did was shell the bottom plate of the quad to create more strength in the arms, reducing the flex of the arms by over 80 percent compared to leaving it around the traditional .125" thick frame.

It proved to be a great frame as he tumbled it and slammed it into the trees a couple times prior to making the video, he wanted to make sure he had some practice, lol!  Here is a cool shot of Jonah pushing his gremlin through a tree;

Once a couple of times around the area and getting familiar with his surroundings, he was starting to pick up speed!

Jonah's work has spread to his fellow classmates who have also created some awesome frame designs that will come out here in the coming weeks.  So stay tuned in to what these students have coming before we hit summer vacation.  Consider subscribing and following their journey!
