Making cheap light wheels

This is a really easy and quick way to make very light wheels for your aircraft.

The end product is lighter than the same sized wheels made from  3 sheets of foam board laminated together.

I just made similar wheels just two days ago! $0.97 for 6 FEET of pipe insulation from local home improvement store will make a LOT of wheels!

Great tip mate. especially the part about the center finder. I wasnt sure where you were going with that, then there was the 'ah ha' moment. great tip :)

That is a really great idea , and really smart on the center finder , if i may give a suggestion? if you hot glue a coffee straw in the middle of the foam board where it acts as a
"bearing"
it will reduce wear and tear. and again thank you for the great idea , keep em coming :D
