Multirotor Proposal

I brought together my two loves for one amazing proposal. This is just a cool little video where I go flying with my girlfriend and I air drop her an engagement ring for a successful and creative proposal. I plan to put up some build pics later but it truely is a great flier. On this particular day the wind was out of the SE at about 15mph but the ring still hit it's target.

Here are a few pictures of my current setup.

I'm running 3 DT 750s, 3DR APM 2.6 flight controller w/ external GPS and compass, Turnigy Plush 25A ESCs, the frame is a modified Fortis Airframes Titan with a few added protector shields to house all of my electronics. I also have a Tarot T2 Gimbal and a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition (the Tarot either isn't quite tuned in or it just doesn't like the cold because I'm running the stock setup with factory settings). I needed a last minute landing gear and I have tried just about everything. I'm currently puttingsome thinner aluminum booms to replace the ones shown in the pictures below and I'm putting three lightweight wooden landing legs down in place of the lemonade containers just because it is summer now and I don't need the surface area, plus the lower profile will benefit how the tricopter cuts through the air. I hope you enjoyed this post as it is my first. I'm open to any suggestions or questions and I am looking forward to posting more of my projects as I have many of them in the works and quite a few already completed as well.

Definitely a geeky proposal haha, but we are both Doctor Who fans so I figured I'd integrate that in there. And as I see it if you can get a girl to go flying with you even after the house gets turned into a "hobby shop" as she calls it, and she sticks around anyways, definitely had to put a ring on it. She is a keeper for sure.

oh ya, definitely geek. was awesome! love the tunes. dude, when she called you a looser charlie sheen popped in my head. of course she didn't mean it, but she said yes, took the ring, loved you for it, all i could think of was WINNER!!!

thoughts of tricopters and the gifts they bring, and to ones love a simple ring. and in that ring love will abound, taking flight on wings of fancy, never again to touch the ground. let your spirits soar past heaven and earth, two hearts become one, living each day for what it's worth. no need for remotes, just take her hand and let her know, you will forever be her man. one day soon wedding bells will toll, will the nest soon be full, give the dice a roll. so unplug the batteries and put the cammeras to sleep, enjoy the days to come, each others hearts you will keep. may the winds of foutune be forever at your backs.

congratulations. =^-^=

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate that. Yes I'm a lucky guy for sure though and even though it was kind of a windy day at the park I think we have a bright future. And I hope that a few people see this and it lights a spark that will guide people to think outside the box and do good "legal" things with multirotors. There are a rotten few making a bad name for the hobby and I hope the the good are enough to outweigh the bad. This hobby grows beautifully through relationships of friends and family out flying and sharing a good time.
