Scratch Built Flying Wing for Power Pod Series

by rayman2530 | June 25, 2013 | (0) Posted in Projects

I started on this new project after I built power pod designs off of Flite Test. After a while I started designing my own airframes and a flying wing came to mind. I know there is the delta power pod design but an official flying wing sounded cool.

Material: poster Foam ( some paper striped to help with weight)

Wingspan: 50 "

Length: 13"

Frame Weight: 11 5/8 oz.

Full: 1lb 6oz

This is the first model, hopefully i can start on more final designs after i find out the flight characteristics.

Thank you. When I first flew the wing, it was the first flying wing that I have flown that wanted to fly slow. I put the less powerful powerpod on it and it flew okay.... It had a major problem with porpoising.
Since then I have made a small wing (36" with a 7x6 prop and it went about 40mph) and a huge wing( 62" setup with video.)
I can post anyone of the plans, just tell me which ones and I will be more than happy to.
