This is my first ever plane that I ahve designed named the ChubCub. I know its not what most find here on flitetest and don't get me wrong I love some foamys but decided to go the Balsa route for this one. I had a lot of help from a couple of members of The Profile Brotherhood website also known as the ProBro's. My goal was to build a Cub that could 3D with the best of them and I am very happy with the results.

Specs

Wingspan 32"

Length 31"

weights 18.003 oz with battery

Motor Hacker A20-20L

ESC Turnigy plush 25 AMP

Battery 1300mah 3S 25c

Servos towerpro 9g

Radio Futaba 8J

This video has what will be my final setup on the plane. Originally I was running an Emax 2812 1600kv motor with a 9x5 GWX prop and 18amp ESC. I have since switched to a Hacker A20-20L with a 10x3.5 prop and 25amp ESC.

Sorry pictures are kinda out of order.

Needed more aileron control so I made Depron extensions and taped them on. Now that they are as effective as I would like them to be I will build new ones.

Wing being built.

Mock up

Action shot

Fuse built.

Tail featers covered. I uses transparent yellow from ValueHobbies. Great covering.

Original plan drawn up with pens, rulers, and butcher paper.

Another mock up.

Tail feathers built.

It's not as hard as many think it is.
