Tricopter 2.6 HV Gimbal

Been building at lot of multirotor last year, but i always seem to go back to my tricopters that i started flying with. So i decided to put a brushless gimbal on my favourite platform.

 

This is David Windeståls Tricopter v2.6 deluxe with a qav540 gimbal and alexmos. Replaced the props to 10x5 graupner, chopped of the camera plate and attached the gimbal. Works great:)

fantastic. The gimbal upgrade is one of my deep wishes for the future for my tricopter. and I love your setup!!

I love the idea, but fixing the gimbal support to the tricopter main plate as well transmits a lot of vibration to it. I think you would get much better results just putting some reinforcements to the battery tray and and disconnecting it from the main plate. The bent metal wires are already good dampers and will eliminate the rest of your vibrations.

Its actually not screwed to the main plate, but it is resting/supported by it. I might separate them more.

Great work, video is fantastic!

Would you have lost video signal if you tried to fly into the tunnel that the biker went into?

Its T-Motor 2216-12 800kV motors.
