An FT STEM Program

To the Flite Test Community,

It is always a great day when one your past students comes back to say hi! Even better, when he wants to fly some FPV. We got that experience last week when Danny Liebert, 6 years in our MESArc FT STEM program, came to talk about his first year college experiences.  Having students that are now in college from the program show up to share some words of wisdom makes a huge impact for the current and future students our program. Current students see the results when you work hard, and having the right info on the prerequisites needed for preparation is vital.

Danny accomplished and learned a lot in just his first year at Colorado Boulder, and it is crazy to think in a couple of years of what he is going to be capable of doing.  His skills learned in the program has made him a proven assest to the Boulder Engineering Department, and this surely will carry over to the workforce as well once graduated.

One of the highlights from this interview was Danny talking about the big Design Engineering project he was a part of and competed at a national level in Kansas.  Here are some pics of the aircraft that was entered.

As you can see this is right up our Flite Test community expertise, so you know Danny played a huge part on this team.  Being respectful to the upper classroom, Danny chimmed in when needed too and they ended up having a decent solution.  Next year because of his expertise and experience with this realm of application, he will be project lead in hopes to represent well in winning one these contests! Once again, the program proving to support Danny with the necessary skills to be a top notch student at school.

Here is Danny's big impact project in MESArc:

We are so very proud of Danny and his early accomplishments already and we look forward to seeing what he can pull off in the future.  A huge thanks goes to all of you for watching, giving advice, and being a part of this program, believe it or not you all have played a huge role in Danny's dream of becoming an Aerospace Engineering.

Next up on the hunt for past MESArc students having success after the program is Brandon Vanbeber, so stay tuned!
