World's 1st epic FPV quadcopter rescue

by Snoopw111 | March 22, 2013 | (20) Posted in Projects

This story began when mattyboy47 on YouTube was flying his quadcopter and disaster struck, this video is one of two about the rescue mission to retrieve this stranded quad using my fpv equip Y6 multiroter flown by me snoopw111.

Our method use to recover the stranded craft was decided after a bit of planning, even though my Y6 multirotor could have lifted the quad copter, at that height we consider it was a risk to take so that we don’t have two stranded crafts on the castle. Our plan was a success and we both went home with all our gear, and the beginning of a new friendship, as you will see we did not know each other before this event.

To my surprise this video have and is still bringing rc pilots and others together and happy for each other which I think is such a good thing, I must say thanks to everyone taking the time to watch this video and commenting (sorry for the length, my gopro battery going dead at the end, my screaming, etc) I'm not a professional video editor but I try to explain the story to the best I could using Windows Movie Maker (one day I will afford a good editing program lol).

Please do enjoy as this video also shows that there are good uses for multirotors as we do not want FPV to be heavily restricted and even ban in certain countries/place, this is what I like doing, FPV flying, and the are many others out there who share the same interest.

Good luck guys, be safe and have fun while putting a smile on someone face.

William
