Building and Programming Robotic systems - Biped, Wheeled, Multi-Leg, Multi-Rotor, Fixed Wing. Totally hooked on R/C Flying now and thanks to Flite Test I have a scratch building addiction. I am a tech gadget fanatic and love Kickstarter, I am a backer for a few projects and will likely be backing more - UDOO, TiltyIMU, Pixy(CMUcam5), STEM and Hex. Hobbyist electronics builder/tweaker and microprocessor programmer as a hobby - have used some of these skills in some company business work in relation to GPS tracking devices and RFID readers.
Biography
By profession, I am computer programmer and current technology leader for a company I started many years ago, technically I sold my first internet company back in 1999 and restarted in 2001 similar but improved solution development concept. We are experts in the mapping/geospatial development - MapQuest, Microsoft Bing, Decarta and Telogis mapping platform companies often recommend us to their clients to assist in LBS/GIS projects. We are also doing significant solutions in the Mobile platform space with HTML5, responsive design, native iOS and Android development skillsets. We have a long history of enterprise level development and variety of back-end solutions and systems integration experience. I personally have been involved and still do a significant amount of development work in numerous languages and platform - C/C++, Java, PHP, Python,C#, Objective-C, etc. I have developed asset tracking systems which include data collection and interfacing with remote stealth GPS devices as well as proprietary systems such as the NeverLost device you find in Hertz rental cars. I have created rootkit's for educational purposes that have been utilized by SANS instituted - developed forensic security analysis applications to provide hacker activity tracking and geospatial plotting for the Secret Service and certain divisions of DoD. My team and I have worked on a wide variety of Fortune 500 systems - including geospatial routines for Papa John's online ordering and back office GIS tools for franchise area / delivery zone managements, Dynamic marketing material system and support systems used by Weight Watchers both here in the US and in the UK, the back-end content server providing the Hertz Neverlost devices with dynamic real-time data, device diagnostic data and remote device software updating, major components in the MapQuest B2B solution line down the years from extensions to API, documents and tutorials, tradeshow demonstration applications and currently a significant amount of the back-end processing in MapQuest/AOL searching routines - and the list goes on
