900MHZ 200mW Tx/Rx & Camera Combo from H.K.

Is 900mhz any good?

What kind of range are you getting?   

Do I need new antennas?

What are those lines in my picture?

What about the camera?

All I can say is,Yup.I am liking it. The wiring harness it comes with is nice n easy to get it going quick.

Bout a kilometer so far,but you probably want to have nice filters if you are on 2.4 for your control.Got mine from readymaderc.com

If you want to get further away and have better reception,yes.

The camera is really pretty good.There is no easy way to mess with the white balance and as you can see it gets blown out in the sun sometimes.I did also change the lens to one a bit wider.It has nice color for the money.    

I took it up and tossed it around.Dives,rolls,inverted...Trying to see how the signal behaved.

I then take it out to 1 km before turning back.No loss of picture. 

To be honest,I never flew with the stock antennas,just used em for ground tests,as they are kinda heavy(26g or so).

During ground tests we found them to be quite good.Lots better than the stock performance we got from out 5.8 gear.

12 channels but make sure you are on 910.The whole shebang runs on 12 volts. 

Vertical  antenna positioning for distance and horizontal positioning for altitude.

Notice the yellow filter.This,and careful antenna placement and you can get out there a ways on 2.4ghz.(the heat sink on the Vtx is probably unnecessary but I am aiming to put this in the wet, so I sealed it.)
