We like to take on crazy challenges at Flite Test and sometimes they don’t quite work out the way we want. We actually attempted flying racing quads through a hula hoop attached to an Opterra during a nicer winter day and didn’t have much luck, but with some adjustments we accomplished what we set out to do! Well…sort of.
Things we learned:
- The Opterra is a beast and can take some hits, even from vicious quads that want to tear it up.
- We can get a plane back up in the air with a little tape and with Bob’s help.
- We definitely want to attempt more crazy challenges like this.
