Power Pod Bushings.

Power Pod Bushings.

Here is a quick tip for adding a bushing for BBQ Skewers to go through foam with Prop Bushings.

I have a lot of Prop Bushings that I don't need, the smallest ones are best.

In fact I had to make the hole just a bit bigger with a drill when using the smallest on this set.  The smallest bushing from a 10" prop was perfect and needed no drilling.

After making the bushing the right size I cut the foam out to make a place for it to go.  Use a BBQ Skewer to hold it in just the right place. Do not cut all the way through. Use the end of the blade to pick the foam out deep enough for the bushing.  A tight fit is best almost press fit.

Put a dab of hot glue there and press the bushing in quickly follow up with a scrap piece of BBQ skewer to clean the hot glue out of the hole. Clean the skewer and bring back through to make sure all the glue is out of the hole.

If you are doing a power pod it is best to do this before tapeing.  The tape will help hold in place.

Easy peasey and so nice to not have your foam getting sloppy with wear.
