Swapple Kit Planes Overview and Flight

Hey guys, I built all the planes inclueded in the Swapple Kit Flitetest sells. However, I did not buy the actual kit, I cut the parts myself. I used a Canon t3i and Sony Handycam HDR-CX190. The song is Dinosaur Anthems by Chicxulub. The video says it all.

Motor - http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__2069__hexTronik_24gram_Brushless_Outrunner_1300kv.html

Esc - http://www.graysonhobby.com/catalog/graysonhobby20ampbrushlessspeedcontrolleresc-p-241.html

That is not the exact ESC that I used although it would do the same thing as the 18 amp one I used that seems to be discontinued.

Battery - http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18852__Turnigy_800mAh_3S_40C_Lipo_Pack.html

The C rating is so high because I will use those batteries on bigger motors in the future.

(copy and paste those links if needed to find the parts)

The plane I like best for slow flying has to be the nutball. However, I enjoy the FT Flyer in more windy conditons. The FT Flyer and Nutball would be great planes to start people out on. Even if you would happen to bend the shaft of the motor and have to buy a new motor, it's only $8. As stated in the video, the Nutball literally is two pieces, rudder and main wing! It is literally impossible to get more simple than that! I even use these in a gym on a 2s 430 MaH battery. The less weight with that battery is great for in a gym which is easily capable of acheiving. 3s on my setup is overkill, 2s is really all you need, and would be better if you use the FT Flyer or Nutball to train somebody on.

If you noticed in the video, I made some foam skis for snow. I actually just keep these on all the time. The wire is the same size and the same way bent as the regual landing gear, it is just that instead of bending the wire out to put wheels on, you bend it in. Please let me know if I should make a tutorial for the ski's.

I hope you enjoy my video and little article I made:)
