FT Little Piggy

The FT Little Piggy was created to celebrate doing the impossible.

The original Flying Pig was born when Flite Test took on the enormous challenge of acquiring and transforming Edgewater Airpark. Whenever people said, “Yeah… when pigs fly,” we decided to make that happen. The Flying Pig quickly became a beloved Flite Test mascot, appearing in countless episodes and even our first television season.

Now, in celebration of our collaboration with the DARPA Lift Challenge at Flite Fest 2026, we’ve reimagined this iconic aircraft into a build kit that anyone with intermediate to advanced building and flying skills can enjoy.

With a 29-inch wingspan and measuring just over 19 inches long, the FT Little Piggy is one of the most entertaining builds we’ve ever designed, taking approximately three hours to complete. Powered by dual brushless 2206 motors, this outrageous aircraft delivers explosive vertical climbs, unbelievably tight flat spins, and gravity-defying performance—all while putting a smile on everyone’s face.

Make no mistake: the FT Little Piggy is designed for experienced pilots and builders. Flying it requires coordinated throttle, aileron, and rudder control similar to 3D aerobatic aircraft, and its intentionally unconventional shape makes it aerodynamically challenging. To unlock its full potential, we partnered with Flex Innovations to develop a custom tune for the Aura 5, providing remarkable stability while preserving the aircraft’s wild personality and incredible maneuverability.

Whether you want to wow your friends with something that absolutely shouldn’t fly, recreate one of Flite Test’s most recognizable icons, or own a piece of Flite Fest 2026 history, the FT Little Piggy is guaranteed to turn heads, spark conversations, and bring smiles every time it takes to the skies

Thank you for bringing Flite Test where it is today and for being a part of the FT Family!  Happy building!
