HK450 Naza V2 + GPS flight time testing

OK so as promised in our previous videos we are getting in to multi rotors. Silly Fokker Ivor is the first of us to make it in the air. In this video we are testing new props = 10x4.5 carbon nylon from RC Timer Link http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_search_list.dwt&gcat=183&gtype=
We are also testing the new Naza V2 firmware with 2x 3s 2200mah Nano-Tech lithium polymer batteries to see what sort of flight time we can get with this set up. Ivor purchased the parallel adapter lead from Hobby King Link http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10265__XT60_Harness_for_2_Packs_in_Parallel_1pc_
This allows him to use his existing 3s lipo cells to be paired together doubling their capacity. His 2 x 2200mah Nano's become 1x 4400mah, now although the extra weight will have penalties he should be able to gain some time from the extra amps available.

The set up Ivor chose for his quad.

4 x Turnigy 3536/9 910kv Aerodrive brushless outrunners (the holes do no match the quad frame so they are fixed with just two screws) Link http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18229__Turnigy_D3536_9_910KV_Brushless_Outrunner_Motor
1 x HK450 frame with integrated PCB Link http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24173__Q450_Glass_Fiber_Quadcopter_Frame_450mm_Integrated_PCB_Version
4 x 30amp Simon K flashed ESC's from RC Timer Link http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=779&productname=
1 x Naza + GPS combo (upgraded via pmu to version 2) from Quadcopters.co.uk Link http://quadcopters.co.uk/dji-naza-flight-controller-160-p.asp
2 x 2200mah 3s Nano-Tech batteries Link http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__11944__Turnigy_nano_tech_2200mah_3S_35_70C_Lipo_Pack
Extended landing gear set Link http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28221__Extended_Landing_Skid_Set_for_SK450_Quadcopter_Frame

Now we did manage to squeeze a 9 minute flight out of this set up but Ivor is running larger motors than I would have gone for. Due to a bad experience with the NTM series 28 sized motors Ivor wanted to use a motor he trusted. We have used the Aerodrive motors in lots of stuff over the time we have been flying and they have been bulletproof this far.....
Ivor is upgrading to the RCT800 arms (http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=845&productname=) soon and at this point these motors may make a little more sense.
I hope you have found this video useful and if there is anything I have forgotten to put in this detailed description please let me know.
We are novices with multi rotor set ups so if you have any advice we would be very grateful (especially to do with optimum setting of the Naza V2)

PS Please rate the article as this is a great way for me to get feedback. It only takes a second =)

Kind Regards
Malc
