My father & brother are the artists who did the jacket. I just designed it all. I posted some photos over on the forum so folks can check it out...

FYI, Radian is so fun to fly... Very relaxing.... until I hear David yelling in my ear, "TURN!!!!"

Chris, Thank you for putting this podcast together for us, exactly like you said I listen to the podcasts on my way to or from work and it really makes the ride enjoyable. Keep up the great podcasts!

Rain? Have a golf dome on standby for micro's just in case. Also, a "valid" thought...a flight line schedule based on aircraft type. For example, FT flyers mixing with 10S 8 pound planes could be a bad thing, not to mention 3d planes hovering in the pattern. Regardless, I've got the enclosed trailer and 14 aircraft ready to show up.

Imo this had to be a weak one, or why would other people need to contribute. But still, a very good effort Chris. The details on your relationship with FPV somehow comforted me. My wish list for in depth discussions etc. is as follows: an INFORMED discussion regarding Depron and a couple of build-shows USING it and adapting FT plans for it, it may well be a BETTER choice than DT foam-board AND it is 'naturally' waterproof and has a longer lifespan; more commitment to education (and stop worrying about things getting out of date, your programmes don't need to become a bible); FPV education, reviews and explorations of big sellers like the FS Att V2s package, what to use a spotter for, how to manage without one, assuming 5.8ghz to be everyone's likely starting point... what are its characteristics, what does one need to be careful of, what are the most effective upgrades etc. etc.

I have watched the Beginner Series dozens of times, but feel frustrated from the lack of follow through.

I am beginning to worry a little bit because I find myself preferring last years FT content to this years. All this popularity is not going to your heads I hope. Last years' Beginner Series was genius. Chad, no less, promised us a similar series covering Quads. Plus, we could do with one on FPV, IBCRazy's series notwithstanding.

I love FT still, but there is always the thing about that which brings a thing to greatness also becoming the seeds of its own downfall. Let's NOT let that happen. There probably IS a limit to how interesting it is to watch Josh and Alex fooling around with models. With David apparently out of the picture the intellectual content is in danger of dropping, in't it? The Mustang build is a step back into 'safe' territory.

All of this is just my opinion and I expect many will want to lynch me, but I love FT too and want it to carry on successfully.

I think your constructive criticism of FT in general is on-point (although you will undoubtably get some hate). Also, you have some good suggestions for future content.

Regarding this podcast: I think Chris did a good job for a one-man show; he delivered the content on time.

Interesting thoughts. I feel like I have heard the Depron suggestion many times now, so maybe it would be good for FT to do an "experimenting with Depron" episode where they compare the two materials.

In addition, I have a feeling that the multirotor beginner series may come after FF and the release of the electro hub. While I'm sure the team would love to have things done sooner, I bet they are swamped with FF logistical work right now.

I would agree that their older episodes with challenges and builds are very interesting, and they do have 2 more warbirds coming up very soon. While I think seeing more challenges and quick tips would be nice, I also like that they are continuing to try new things. I'm sure they have a hard time deciding how often to stick with the tried and true formats vs new ones.

The Mustang build is a step back into 'safe' territory. I mean that as a GOOD THING.

Chris: Good effort for a solo podcast. I appreciated it!

Suggestion: Don't give up on the "call-in" show format. It will take some time to work out the bugs, but I think FT listeners are very understanding. Even the first episode when there was a lot of confusion was still interesting.

Chris, Great job for a solo podcast!!! Ditto on the multirotor beginner series, would LOVE see that happen, I am new to this hobby and need all the help I can find. Also as for a call in phone system - you might want look at the Open Source Asterisk system (www.asterisk.org).

Great job on the solo-cast! I'm continually gobbling up the old podcasts but really look forward to the new ones to get threw my lovely DC traffic every week!

I'm not sure what solutions you have tried for the phone system, but after the great google-voice-protocol change recently we've had to scramble to change things with out business phone setup (we were using an Obihai device with google voice for free phone services) - recently switched to our Obihai and Anveo as a provider...pretty powerful "voip" type system, allows for a call flow, on hold, multiple lines, etc for relatively cheap monthly fee's. It's a bit confusing to figure out costs (very ala cart system) but we are paying roughly $9/month for an 800 number, local number, automated attendant and pretty powerful conferencing system with a great voicemail system. Not sure if any of that stuff is useful, but the Obihai stuff is also great for phone/voip type systems...cheap (and sometimes free) services. Sorry if that came off sales pitchy - but just wanted to throw it out there! Everything has a downside, just not sure what you guys are looking to to!

For what it's worth, I'm not a fan of the live callers. Even the voicemails get a bit tedious if they aren't heavily screened/filtered beforehand but I'd vote to keep them around overall. Emails and Facebook questions are great because you can collect/aggregate/summarize and keep the discussion moving along at a good pace and keep it on track.

Thank you so much Chris for taking the time to put this podcast togeather for us singlehandedly, I really enjoyed it!

Tell your wife for me, from one girl to another, that there is so much in the hobby, she doesn't know what she's missing! She might not be interested in the aspects of it that draw you, but there are so many other things in it, so many different ways to fly, and for me it's that sence of real freedom I get from gliding in the wind like an eagle that really atracts me... and as soon as money allows, I want to get into multirotors for those amazing aerial footages to make some nice videos for the personal album.

Anyway, thanks again, big hugs across tbe Atlantic for you and all the team!

This podcast was great, I cought myself smiling some times, because as a married man with young kid and wife, sometimes is not easy to steal some hours to go flying, even considering myself a fortunate guy since we enjoy model airplanes in family .Used to fly gasers, and glow models., and still love it but... nowadays I can say Im still airborne thxs to electric stuff, as simple as to pic some lipos, plane , trasmiter and you´r done.
Regards from Uruguay, south america to all FT fans

Hi Chris,
Thanks for taking the time to put on the pod cast. One plane I would like to see flite test review is the Dream-flight Libelle dlg. Seem like a good affordable entry level dlg.
Thanks for listening.
