Introduction

In this article I am going to be doing the following things: unboxing the system, showing you how to connect it, show the camera quality and then I am going to do a range and penetration test to show the quality of the connection and what you can expect when using it on your fpv aircraft.

Unboxing

The package includes a rubber duck antenna, the video transmitter, the camera and the cables which are used to connect the system together. The packaging is good enough so that during shipping from china then the package should not get damaged. Also included in the box is a small instruction manual telling you how to change the channels on the video transmitter and steps in how to connect the system. The larger connector fits into the video transmitter and the smaller one then fits into the camera itself. The other cable is presoldered for a 3s battery, it could also be powered by a 12v bec if you do not have a 3s battery available.

Camera Qaulity

Here is a test of the camera quality and as you can see the camera resolution is actually good however when going from light to dark areas the time in which it takes to adjust to the light is fairly long which doesn’t make it ideal for high speed flying such as on mini quads. I would recommend using this system on a short range cruiser either multirotor or a plane.

The video transmitter did get hot without there being airflow over the top of the transmitter, however it did not stop working nor did i get any errors in the video.

As you can see here I then connected the system to an RC car which i plan on using to do racing around a local rc track. As you can see here I was able to drive around my house with the connection only dropping out once or twice which is really impressive for a 200mw video transmitter with some very cheap antennas attached.

Finishing thoughts

In review you get what you pay for. It is a very cheap combo so therefore you would not expect this to be the best FPV kit on the market. The light adjustment on the camera could be quicker but it is good enough for normal flying. I would recommend this kit to anybody looking to have a kit in which they could just throw on any plane or quad without adding weight nor cost to the aircraft.

Thank you very much for watching and I hope that you have a good day.

That's pretty cool. Thanks for the recommendation. I just purchased one. The price went up a bit. $32.00 US. No big deal though. This is my 1st component for FPV. I have been patiently waiting for price drops on FPV equipment for about a year. This is better than $80 : )

Do you happen to know if this works with fatshark equipment? because they got some pretty cool stuff there, and if it does, what other FPV product brads does it work with as well?
