90" Powered Foam board glider..

by cableline01 | October 29, 2013 | (0) Posted in Just Fun

This was a scratch build i wanted to make so i could have something to fly for a long time. One of the guys at the field was nice and let me strap a fatshark to it. So i was able to do my first FPV ever it was so great.

I have included a video of it flying with a bigger camera so it is kinda heavy but it flew ok

Enjoy...

I glued in a metal brace that the wings bolt to.. Works great. it is realy stiff..

Very nice! Did you use anything for wing reinforcement? What was your motor size, and battery combination?
The reason I ask is I have old built up glider wings in both two, and three meter spans and am wondering what it would take power wise to get them in the air.
Thanks for the video.

I used a wooden spar. i think it was a 3/8 round spar running 3/4 the length of the wing. I also used a 2200kva motor so i could use a small prop since i didnt have a folding one yet. the battery is a 2200mh 25c zippy. the wing hold down with the metal plates and button head screws hold the wing very nice. i can break it down to transport it in my van.

We need a new category "Flight video" I find my own boring ,I'd rather see the plane performing.
