IB Crazy 7 turn Helical/

AXN/FPV plane

We wanted to test the range on our home built antenna so we went to the wide open desert and found a nice hill to set up on. We did a lot of studying google earth and found some good landmarks for reference. 

AXN modified to carry a Gopro.
With a stock motor and a 30 amp esc.6*5.5 prop. We are flying a 9X radio with the frsky diy mod. 
Video RX: Boscam RC305 5.8GHz with Helical Antenna
Video TX: Boscam 200mw 5.8 GHz with Cloverleaf Antenna 
3 lobe cloverleaf on the bird and a 7 turn helical on the ground

Can you explain where you use the helical and the cloverleaf please? It looks to me that one of the helicals go on the video Rx, but where does the other go? The CLoverleaf is always on the video Tx right? Thanks

Well Wally,what you see here are three ground station antenna. A skew-planar wheel (4 lobe,bottom pic) and 2 helical. One 5 turn and one 7 turn. We are only using one at a time. The one we used for this flight is the 7 turn.
