Today class, we learn about the wonders of hot glue! Chad and David sure are excited, so humor them and watch them talk about their favorite thing in the world.
Is hot glue all the same or are there different grades? In my local hardware store the Bosch hot glue is nearly double the price as the same amount from a Chinese manufacturer. The Bosch glue is really white in color, while the cheaper glue is a bit darker. Does it matter? Log In to reply

Although I am not an expert, in my experiance it doesn't really matter what hot glue you use, but the attitude can be different for different types. Aka, all temp hot glue tends to dry REALLY slow, and seems stickier than others. I have used both large and small hot glue guns/sticks, both work fine usually, but make sure for bigger projects that your hot glue gun can support large outputs. (small craft hot glue guns don't work, they cool down). Log In to reply
I've been scratchbuilding SPADs for about 2 years now and HOTGLUE is like the necter of the gods when it comes to building with Correx. I normally end up using hotglue for everyhting!! The stuff gods where made from = HOTGLUE!! Log In to reply

I wonder if you could spread a hot glue film for microlight wing covering? We used to do that with dope and other flammable substances way back... I cant remember anymore... Log In to reply
In the store here, they have regular hot glue sticks, and then they have Acrylic hot glue sticks. For building with foamcore, which would be stronger? Log In to reply
Another way to fix a glue issue (after bad-glueing that needs re-glueing), is to use the hot glue gun tip to make extra glue melt in order to remove it or flatten the surface with a foam piece, and make it ready again for glueing Log In to reply
