The Jas-39 was swedens solution to the light-heavy fighter problem, sweden opted for a fast, mauverable light fighter, with more limited armament load, the end result was the Jas-39.  I have alwase liked this aircraft so i decided to model it and see if it could fly.

Modeling was done in Autodesk Fusion 360, an excelent cad software for 3d printing.

The whole plane was printed in pla with the following build

The first step was glueing togather the first segments an installing the 70 mm fan.

Next the cables were routed and the the fuseologe glued togather, useing Ca.

Next glue the wing haves togather and then to the plane, and glue the stab on to.

Then run the rod through the front and put on the canard.

Stick on the elevons and retracts and the plane is done, a comprehensice vedio will be released if the plane fly's.

Some stats

weight 38 ozs

infill in fuseologe, 2%

wing infil 0%

stablizer 10%

Print time  1 week

Fillament $20

This plane is a work in progress, if it fly's a build vedio an free final stl's will be released.

No vedio of current attempts to fly though, made 60 mph on gorund, but didn't rotate. the rear landing gear are probably to far back, if anyone knows more please tell me why this plane won't rotate in the coment section.

Here is link to current stl files, might not work well though.

That plane looks SOOOOOOOOO cool!!! I really like Swedish fighters jets! It probably won't rotate either because the rear landing gear is too far back, or the plane has a slight nose down angle when sitting on its wheels. I hope you get it flying, that thing will look awesome in the air!
