Bush Vapor + Free Plans

I've always enjoyed Horizon's Vapor series, from the simple vapor that has brought many pilots into the hobby, to the new Vapor Lite HP. I had a Vapor HP lying around on a rainy day, and decided to try and fix it up. I had to re-solder motor wired because I had to use a replacement prop that was clockwise. After that, I saw some UMX Habu tires that I had laying around from a mid-air from FF West, quite some time ago. I used some pushrod wire and bent it into shape, mounted the tires, then took off the one remaing stock landing gear and glued the new set into place. While doing this I used CA and sawdust. This acts like CA sand, but much less expensive and helps thin or thick CA act as a filler. I did around 4 layers of this, and the gear is set solid on the airframe. After flying that around, I decided to add a tailwheel as well. I  made it steerable, because I had never seen a night vapor that could properly taxi. After that, I took the battery tray from a cockroach frame for a tiny whoop and sanded it down. I ripped off the existing velcro on the sliding battery tray that is infamous for not doing its job. I used more CA and sawdust to attach the cockroach battery mount, and it works much better than the stock tray, which easily loses its grip after a couple of flights. Here's the video I made up today from some flying this morning down at our local park. I'll try to put plans into the article, and if it doesn't work follow the instructions in the video. Thanks!

And (hopefully) here are the plans:

Nice mods! how much weight do you think you added?

Not much. It still has vertical, and most of the mods are replacing parts, not adding new ones. The Battery tray add-on is a stand-alone modification, but it weighs very little and to be honest it's a mod you should do to all your Night Vapors. Not having your battery fly around does help performance quite a but.
