Two simplest flying wing (v1 & v3)

There are so many requests about my flying wing plan which optimize one sheet foam board and only require some simple straight cutting and bevel. I have share the plan v1 and v3 (my v2 is not success yet) on flitetest few months ago. I found that the v3 is the most popular since it get more feedback than the v1, but personally I prefer v1 for daily use, because the v3 actually prepared for the high speed application.

Ok let me summarize the different of both version

===============================================================================

V1

  • Require more technique
  • More wingspan (41”)
  • Less swept
  • More glue required
  • Little bit hard to trim (on maiden)
  • Suitable for slow-medium speed
  • Here is the article of v1 and here is the CG v1 documentation (size is in mm)
  • Here the action of v1

V3

  • Less technique required
  • Less wing span (36”)
  • More swept
  • Less glue required
  • Slightly easier to trim
  • Suitable for high speed or extreme one
  • Here is the article of v3 and here is the CG v3 documentation (size is in mm)
  • Here the action of v3
