The EZ motor mount is a simple to build yet very strong motor mount made from common materials.

TOOLS AND MATERIALLS REQUIRED

THESE ARE JUST THE MEASURMENTS THAT I USE
FEEL FREE TO USE YOUR OWN

CUT THE PEICES OUT

THESE ARE THE MEASUREMENTS FOR THE DIAGONAL AXIS

GLUE THE PEICES TOGETHER

YOU SHOULD END UP WITH THIS

MARK THE HOLES

DRILL THEM

SCREW THE MOTOR MOUNT ON

ATTACH THE MOTOR

THE FOAM GIVES IT THE STABILITY AND STRENGTH THAT THE MOTOR MOUNT NEED IN ORDER TO BE PROPERLY INSTALLED

 AND WE ARE DONE

I hope that this has helped you

Looks good. However, if your run a setup that produces much heat you run the risk of reheating that glue and separating. Won't really matter much on a pusher setup, but with tractor setup your motor may fly off. So maybe use wood glue instead of the hot glue to hold the wood together. Then use extreme packing tape on the pod before screwing the motor on.

I agree with what you said, however if you are running a setup that produces that much heat you need to prop down or find a motor that can handle the current draw. Foam safe CA would make the best glue, but that is also the most expensive. The easiest fix would probably just be extreme packing tape.

I love this idea. Simple and effective.

I've had a hot motor melt the hot glue I was using to hold it on (for a pusher). Ultimately I burnt out the ESC because of how hot it was running. That isn't that big of a concern.

You should have packing tape wrapped around the firewall and onto the foam however. It's the firewalls job to stay flat with the motor firmly screwed onto it. It's the packing tapes job to hold the firewall to the plane.
