FLYING TOASTER QUADCOPTER

My art teacher from middle school had a running joke about flying toasters so I was thinking about some way to get a toaster in the air. I saw the ancient Flite Test video with the massive flying toaster plane but I wanted my project to be more compact. I looked into multirotors as a possible solution but was a bit hesitant because the components are rather expensive for someone with basically no money. Then I saw the UAV futures 99$ quad video and figured that with a few modifications I could get an 800g toaster off the ground. I ordered all the electronics off Banggood:

After about a month of shipping from China, I began work. I started by mounting basswood arms to the toaster with L brackets and screwing the motors into the arms. Then I cut a thinish piece of basswood for the bottom plate undercarriage thing  and added little wood dowl connectors that fit into holes on the bottom of the toaster. This made it so I could remove the undercarriage with the electronics in it, toast bread on the ground, reinsert the electronics, and fly away! I also added bullet connectors labeled with A,B,or C on the 4 in 1 esc and each motor. The end result was 2 parts, a functional toaster with arms and motors, and an undercarriage with a stack of  electronics, a receiver, and a 3s battery.cnxThis is the Undercarriage with a 3s lipo which was ultimately not enough to fly the toaster
As seen in my YouTube video, the 3s battery did not provide enough power for the toaster so I used a hefty 4s 2.2Ah battery which was stored inside the toaster during flight.

Might I also add that this is the first quadcopter I've ever flown. Now I can say that my first ever quadcopter was a toaster XD

I hope you enjoyed reading about my project! Please consider watching the YouTube documentation and subscribing to my channel!
