FPV49 v3 Scratch Build

FPV49 V3 

This is a build of the FPV49 V3 wing who FPVTrond designed, It's made out of 6 layers of 6mm white Depron. 

It uses a wing design called Kline-Fogleman airfoils also known as KF or KFm. The wing is build for high speed FPV, so it uses KFm-4 which is a symmetrical KFm airfoil. 

The first thing I did was to line up marks on the depron. Depron is very easy to cut in

I recommed to change the blade often. 

FPVTrond also made a build video of it with all the information you need to build your own. 

All the depron pieces cut out. 

In the center off the wing I placed some alu pipes to make it very stiff. You can also use flat carbon spares. 

Time to cut the leading edge. To Bevel the edge you can just use sandpaper or a sharp knife. 

All the electronic placed on the top of the wing.  

For the Battery holder I just used some 4mm plywood and a dremel. 

I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I manged to cut the Gopro and FPV camera bay out of the 4mm plywood.

Painted black so it looks cool 

The ailerons is also made out of depron with a carbon in the middle and yellow packing tape outside

The motor mount is just three plates of plywood glued on the depron and a bolt in the middle 

I removed three layers of depron for the batttery to fit on and glueed it with hotglue 

I covered with black, yellow, tranperant tape. 

Here is the finish result of the wing.

I just had the maiden flight to day and it flew like at dream. I really recomment it to people who want a easy to build wing for FPV.
